Art was born in Augusta, GA, and grew up in Aiken, SC. He was in the U.S. Air Force for eight years, and is a Vietnam veteran. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, a master’s degree in business from the University of South Carolina, and a PhD degree in behavioral science from Alpha University in Louisiana.
Art joined Dupont at the Savannah River site, where tritium and plutonium were produced under contract wih the Atomic Energy Commission for the Defense Department’s nuclear weapons program. It was Dupont’s largest plant, with over 10,000 employees. He was a computer programmer, and then held a number of roles in human resources. After receiving his MBA he became the Chief Supervisor of Budget and Finance for the Savannah River National Laboratory. Art then transferred to corporate headquarters in Wilmington, DE, for one year, and then to Tokyo, Japan, headquarters for Dupont Asia Pacific. He was the Regional Manager for Human Development, covering thirteen countries, and then he returned to Wilmington, DE as the Corporate Manager for Human Development.
Art completed 30 successful years at Dupont; and after 8 years at Kanbay he moved to Sarasota, where he is the founder of U-Solutions, LLC, specializing in helping individuals and organizations achieve peak performance in their work and life.
Art has a passion for learning and teaching and a desire to understand and transmit knowledge about how processes work that either enable or hinder human performance.
